Hi there! My name is Heather Dalton, and I am a self-taught free-lance photographer. I'm mostly based out of Houston but am frequently in Austin to do portraits there, as well. I do photography part-time while I work in education and public outreach at the Lunar and Planetary Institute. I've been interested in photography for most of my life and was always the one snapping pictures of my friends and family, but started seriously pursuing photography as an art in 2006. I love taking portraits and capturing special moments for people to enjoy for years to come, and traveling and bringing home spectacular photographs that reflect the beauty of the places I've been. I shoot using a Canon EOS 7D, mainly with 70-300mm and 28-135 lenses.

Sitting fees start at $150 for a photo shoot on location. By partnering with Pictage, prints and digital files can be ordered easily and delivered quickly. Once I have edited your pictures, I will send you a private link to your photos, where you can view them and order prints and high-resolution digital image files. The pictures are generally uploaded for your viewing within a week of the photo shoot. The price list for prints and digital files can be found here (PDF file).
