Last weekend, the Shupla family and I went to Bay Area Park to take portraits.  The kids had a blast playing on the swings and finding cool stuff to look at in the water, and everyone was a great sport about the not-so-perfect weather (it gets cold even in Houston occasionally!).

I spent the 4th of July in Austin with Emily, Sara, and Sara’s boyfriend Kevin. We went to the lake, ate a ton of food, visited my grandma, and watched fireworks over the lake from a parking garage near where I used to work. It was a great day!

My amazing grandma turned 90 last month. I made her a photo book using Apple’s Aperture program with photos from throughout her life and letters from friends and family (hence the lack of pictures for the last few months!) for her birthday. We took a stroll by Town Lake with Sara when Em and I were in Austin and stopped for a few pictures.

The bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes were out in full force when we were in Austin last month!  Spring has definitely sprung in central Texas!

Em and I took a bunch of pictures in downtown Houston and on the beach in Galveston a couple of weeks ago.

I got to see Screaming Sunday rock on New Year’s Eve!  They were awesome!

I took portraits of Lindsay, Derek, and their six-month-old Adelyn last weekend.  We started out indoors with some studio shots, and then moved to Clear Lake Park later in the afternoon when the light was nice.  It was cold but Adelyn had fun rolling around in her cute bear ear coat!

When we were in Austin in October, I took a few pictures of Emily downtown and at the Capitol at night.
