The last time I was in Austin I got to take some pictures of my best friend Sara and her parents in a neighborhood park. We walked around the park a bit and people-watched. They are fabulous people, and it’s always wonderful to spend time with them.
[...] I spent the 4th of July in Austin with Emily, Sara, and Sara’s boyfriend Kevin. We went to the lake, ate a ton of food, visited my grandma, and watched fireworks over the lake from a parking garage near where I used to work. It was a great day!
[...] Just before the 4th of July, I got the Photek Softlighter II. I love the Softlighter! It is very easy to set up and gives off gorgeous soft light. Sara let me try it out on her before taking portraits of my family. She’s always a great model and we have lots of fun with [...] We took a stroll by Town Lake with Sara when Em and I were in Austin and stopped for a few pictures.
[...] Emily, Sara, and I headed down to the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas last weekend and got some fun portraits at an art installation there.
Sara came to visit from Austin and she wanted some photos of her with her conducting baton and her flute. We used my black backdrop for some and my red office curtains for others. She’s already got one of the pictures with her baton up on her school’s website!
I took pictures of Sara and her parents as a thank you for letting Emily and I stay with them over 4th of July weekend. Their dog Teener got in on it, too!
On the 4th of July, Sara, Emily, and I headed out to my family’s dock on Lake Austin in the afternoon. In the evening, Sara was playing with the Austin Symphony Band at a park in Round Rock so we went and listened to the band and watched fireworks.
